New Edu, n.o. is a dynamic research and training organisation specialising in the development of innovative learning programs and platforms tailored for education and enterprise sectors. With a notable emphasis on the agriculture and food sector, New Edu brings a wealth of expertise in entrepreneurship and infrastructure development. The organisation is adept at crafting various business models for the agricultural sector, including local government-led, private sector-led, joint ventures, and community-led initiatives.
Central to New Edu’s approach is the integration of practical experience into Vocational Education and Training (VET) through mentoring by seasoned experts. The organisation fosters robust collaborations with academic institutions, local governments, and policymakers, such as the Slovak University of Agriculture and the cities of Nitra and Rovinka, among others. These partnerships enhance New Edu’s activities by grounding them in the knowledge triangle, leading to innovative, value-added solutions for the development of rural communities.
New Edu’s team comprises former high-level professionals in the agricultural and agri-food sectors who have significant experience in policy and academic roles. These include positions such as the Director General of the Slovak Centre of Agricultural Research, and academic positions at the Slovak University of Agriculture and Janos Selye University. The team’s extensive experience, spanning over 20 years, covers a broad geographic scope, including the European Union, Asia, and the United States, ensuring that their learning solutions are both globally informed and innovative.
As a member of the Slovak pilot partnership in the FoodRUs Horizon 2020 project, New Edu is committed to creating resilient food systems in Europe through circular solutions aimed at preventing food losses and waste. Their role in the project is multifaceted, involving the identification of best practice cases and potential SMEs for the ‘SME goes Digital Challenge’, as well as conceptualizing and implementing bootcamps and summer schools. New Edu is integral in recruiting SMEs for participation and organizing local factory tours. Their extensive network and deep understanding of local business dynamics are vital in promoting the project and ensuring its sustainability.
