The Slovak University of Agriculture (SUA) in Nitra is a distinguished institution that has been pivotal in shaping Slovakia’s educational and research landscape since 1952. It also addresses the digitization of agriculture, the management of energy resources, landscaping, as well as economics, management, and rural development.
With its expertise, SUA takes a leading role in the DigiFABS project, specifically in orchestrating Work Package 6 – Piloting. This includes managing summer schools and directing the implementation of innovative boot camps and challenges derived from earlier project stages. SUA’s contribution is not confined to piloting but extends through the project’s lifespan. It leverages its extensive network to provide insights into best practice teaching methods and facilitates action learning concepts as part of Work Package 3.
During the conceptual phase, SUA shares its valuable knowledge and experiences to enrich the development of the summer school and boot camps in Work Packages 4 and 5, collaborating closely with partners to ensure the programs are well-crafted and effective. After the piloting phase, the university will also assist in refining the developed materials (Work Package 7), utilizing the feedback collected to enhance the project’s outcomes.
SUA’s commitment to the DigiFABS project also includes the promotion of its goals and achievements. Through its well-established networks (Work Package 8), SUA aims to maximize the project’s reach and ensure its sustainable impact (Work Package 9). The university’s multifaceted role underscores its dedication to fostering a robust, innovative, and forward-looking agricultural sector that resonates with the needs of the digital era.
