ECECT (European Centre of Emerging Competencies and Technologies) is a NON-profit organisation, founded in 2020 and established in Cyprus (European Union) and is focusing on emerging competencies and technologies but at the same time aims to fill the gap that exists between academia and the industry. ECECT pays attention to education, skills, and competencies required for today’s demanding world. It focuses on (Science Technology Engineering Art Mathematics) and offers targeted training to the younger generation at the same time offers targeted training for older individuals. ECECT uses the open-source online education platform (class365.eu) to access a larger audience that otherwise might have difficulties attending training/educational sessions.
ECECT is dedicated to ensuring the long-term sustainability of the DigiFABS project through the establishment of collaboration with all partners in each Work Package. ECECT’s main role entails developing a comprehensive sustainability strategy to ensure the continued usage of the project’s outcomes after its completion, along with stewarding key responsibilities for ongoing activities. Additionally, ECECT will also take the lead on developing the exploitation plan and intellectual property rights (IPR) agreement, both of which are critical for ensuring the long-term sustainability of the project’s results and legal safeguards.
Director / Research Engineer
George Georgiou brings to DigiFABS years of experience in IT and Engineering. His knowledge includes IT infrastructure, robotics and sensor technology. George’s perspectives as a director and research engineer are invaluable in helping the team navigate the rapidly changing digital landscape. He is committed to driving innovation and is excited to collaborate with partners to maximise the potential for the advancement that digitalisation offers.
Project Manager
Maria brings to DigiFABS experience in project management, entrepreneurship and social media. Maria is eager to apply her knowledge to to foster digitalisation and innovation in Food and Beverage SMEs as well as sustain the results of the project in the long run in order to impact as much as possible SME’s as well as students.
Social Media Manager
Efi Rafik Gill is the Social Media Manager at ECECT.eu, where she plays an important role in increasing the reach of the DIGIFABS project within Cyprus. Utilising her expertise in digital platforms and strategic marketing, Efi is dedicated to boosting awareness and engagement, ensuring the project resonates with and captivates the intended audience.
